COLLABORATIVE DIVORCE

Mr. Wartenberg is a member of the Tampa Bay Collaborative Divorce Group. The collaborative divorce process focuses on an "interest-based" approach to resolving divorce cases, rather than the more traditional "litigation-based" approach. As such, many divorcing couples have chosen the collaborative divorce process over the litigation approach, and have been successful in resolving their differences fully outside of the courthouse. Importantly, the litigation approach can often leave both spouse with negative feelings about their divorce outcome. For parents of minor children, this can adversely impact on their ability to successfully co-parent. The collaborative process seeks to minimize the negative aspects of divorce that can occur through the litigation-based approach to divorce.
