Philip S. Wartenberg

The Law Offices of Philip S. Wartenberg, P.A., was formed in 2001 by attorney Philip S. Wartenberg, Esq. Mr. Wartenberg has practiced exclusively in the area of marital and family law throughout his legal career spanning over a decade.
Prior to entering private practice in 1998, Mr. Wartenberg served as Senior Staff Attorney for the Family Law Division of the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit in Tampa. In that capacity, he worked directly with family law judges handling contested family law matters.
Since entering private practice, Mr. Wartenberg has handled and resolved hundreds of family law matters, including numerous contested cases that have required full litigation.
In 2007, Mr. Wartenberg attained board
certification as a specialist in the area of
marital and family law.
Mr. Wartenberg is a member of the Florida Bar, the Hillsborough County Bar Association,
and the Family Law Inn of Court of Tampa
Bay. He is also a past member of the Clearwater Bar
Association. Mr. Wartenberg currently serves as
the Chair of the Family Law Section of the
Hillsborough County Bar (for the 2007-2008
term), and has served on the Executive Council
of the Family Law Section since 2001. He was an
investigating member of the Florida Bar's
Grievance Committee 13-D for the Thirteenth
Circuit from 2003 through 2006. Mr. Wartenberg is
additionally a Charter Member of the Rotary Club
of Tampa Downtown Daybreak since 2002.
Mr. Wartenberg has previously lectured for National Business Institute and Halfmoon
LLC on family law matters. He has published
numerous articles on family law-related issues,
including "Whose Fault is It, Anyway?: The
Continuing Relevance of Fault in Divorce Cases,"
that appeared in the Winter 2001 edition of the
Florida Family Law Section Commentator.
Mr. Wartenberg graduated with a Juris Doctor from Stetson University College of Law in 1994, where he served as a Notes and Comments Editor for the Stetson Law Review. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a finance major from the University of Florida in 1991.
Damien L. McKinney

Mr. McKinney practices exclusively in the area of marital and family law throughout the Tampa Bay area. His practice exposes him to all issues of family law, including child custody, child support, alimony, equitable distribution, modification, domestic violence injunctions, prenuptial agreements and appellate practice.
Mr. McKinney is a member of the Florida Bar, American Bar Association, Florida Bar Family Law Section and the Family Law Inns of Court of Tampa Bay. Prior to joining Philip S. Wartenberg, P.A., Mr. McKinney was an associate with Joel Lee Sherman, P.A.
Mr. McKinney graduated with a Juris Doctor from Stetson University College of Law in 2005. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with a Child Development minor from Florida State University in 2002.
